Wairarapa Pasifika Tertiary Pathways Scholarship

The Pasifika o Wairarapa Trust is proud to be the benefactor of an annual scholarship awarded to Yr 13 students currently attending school in the Wairarapa at the value of $5000.

- Wairarapa College
- Chanel College
- Makoura College
- Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Wairarapa
- St Matthews/Rathkeale Senior School
Students must meet the following criteria for selection;
- Leaving school at the end of 2023 for further training, apprenticeship and education.
- Be of Pasifika descent including being peoples of Polynesia, Philippines, Melanesia and Micronesia (New Zealand Tangata Whenua are not included).
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to serving their school and wider community.
- Year 13 Students have started to apply for tertiary education for 2024.
- Able to provide contact details for a supporting reference from their school.
- Able to provide contact details for a personal reference (not from a family member).
- Must be able to provide their Record of Achievement.
- Be willing to attend a scholarship interview.

–Applications Close: Monday 23rd October 2023
-Contact for interviews Wednesday 25th October 2023
-Interviews Thurs and Friday 26th, 27th October 2023
-Successful applicants are informed via phone call between 27th-31st October and be awarded their scholarship certificate at their school prize giving events.
-Recipients and their families will be invited to a celebratory meet and greet with Pasifika o Wairarapa Trust. They will be informed at this stage, how to access the funds.
